I Want Hair So Long That It Look Like Weave...
I do apologise as I have been slacking in my post recently and there is no excuse for that so I'm sorry.
Lets Talk Hair
Anyway, I have been on a "hair journey since 2009" and you would think I would have really long hair by now - right?
WRONG!!
Right, now my hair is collar bone length (when stretched)
But wait I hear you on average you should have got 6 inches of growth per a year!!! What happened?
I'll tell you what happened, SET BACK AFTER SET BACK AFTER SET BACK!!!
SET BACK NUMBER 1
Black Jamacian Castor Oil
I know women who swear by this stuff and the youtube community was like this stuff is the ish - you need in your life.
My response: Let me get some Black Jamacian Castor Oil - yep my hair gonna grow!
WRONG!!!
It left my hair greasy!! greasy and breaking off and the smell was putrid :( my heart was hurt, my hair was hurt and my bank account was hurt! And I also know of women an hair forums, with the most unhealthiest hair that swear by it - something doesn't add up
Verdict: No Bueno!!!
SET BACK NUMBER 2
Miconzole Nitrate aka 'Coochie Cream/Athletes Foot Cream'
Again the forums and youtube was going mad for this and was like 'yeah get 2 inches in a month'
My Response: OMG I need this in my life, gonna grow my way to waist length hair
WRONG!!!
Coochie Cream did nada for me absoulutely NOTHING and I was consistent in my useage
Verdict: Use the cream, where it is meant to be used!!!
SET BACK NUMBER 3
Megatek
Now megatek if you don't know is meant for horses but is safe for human use so safe that the company rebraded it as 'Ovation Cell Therapy' and 4 times the price! Again I saw the magic results of women gain tremendous length in a short amount of time - the problem? Megatek is pure protein and makes your hair shed like crazy so you have to dilute with oil.
My Response: Okay, let me buy this and I will dilute it with a bunch of oils - easy :)
WRONG!! Oh so Wrong
I had been using megatek for about 2 weeks and my hair was in cornrows, one day I had an itch, so I scratched my head and guess what came out with it? AN ENTIRE CORNROW!! Upset is not the word to describe how I felt.
Verdict: I know women it has worked for and I may be an extreme case BUT is your hard work really worth the risk?
What Did You Learn?
What I came to realize was, you shouldn't jump on every hair band wagon because whats works for her won't necessarily work for you and secondly I no longer believe in topical growth aids.
The moment hair sprouts out of your scalp it is dead and unless your name is Jesus - there is no resurrecting these dead ends.
'OMG, Michelle, you're so right - so what can we do' I hear you cry
Grow your hair from the inside out!!!
What has worked for my hair is
Biotin (please be aware that you must drink water when talking this vitamin or else you can get horrible cystic spots)
Most importantly, hair grows! We just need to learn how to treat it right, because black hair does grow but you can't nurse years of abuse overnight, so give your kink, coils and curls a little bit of time, if anything it's in shock that you're treating it so well.

Thank you for your imformaion about Biotin that you have to Drink alot of water i would wait late to take it i would for get it and when i remember to take it.it would be my bed time i drink a little water and when i would drink a little water my body itch and i did't know why now i know now thank you fro your comment about Biotin I am will continion take them when'll you see action on you hair can you tell me this if so Thank.lo!
