Cry Jubilee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by | |

Since its the Queen's Diamond Jubilee - I decided to represent with some funky nails!
Do you like??
I was going an Andy Warhol - can you tell lol?
But I had to stay true to my roots and since Ghana is my heart, I put the flag on my thumb.
Unfortunately, since this was just random - I didn't take pictures of the process. (I know, I know, I'm sorry)
So I'm going to try and do a picture-less step by step for y'all

What You Will Be Needing

Top Coat & Base Coat
A bright base colour - I used Models Own Coral Reef
For Ghana's Flag - I used Models Own Green Tea
Nail Art Pens

What You Need To Do

Apply your base coat and allow this to dry

Apply your chosen base colour and allow this to dry

So now take your nail art pen and draw 4 lines: one vertical, one horizontal and two diagonal to create a Union Jack pattern) (allow each line to dry a little before you begin a new line) and allow to dry.

Now that your Union Jack pattern is dry - take a nail art pen in a clashing colour and do the same thing on top of your Union Jack pattern.

Apply your top coat

and tad-dah you have your Union Jack nails!

Now for the Flag :)

Take any red nail polish and paint the whole nail and allow this to dry

Take a yellow nail art pen (or nail polish) and paint a horizontal stripe across your nail allow this to dry

Take a green nail art pen and do the same in the space left allow this to dry

For the finishing touch with a black nail art pen draw a star on the yellow stripe and allow to dry
:)

Apply topcoat

I hope this was clear, if not post a comment and I will try and explain
and again if I can do this, you can too :)
x

I got my nail art pens from Topshop the come in a set of 5 for £10 or 2 for £5 (pink & black) and individual ones cost £6.50
of course you can always try ebay too.
